Autry Cates

Maverick Transportation announced Autry Cates from AKS out of Springhill, KS as their Driver of the Quarter for Quarter 1 of 2018.

“Autry is the definition of a driver who exemplifies getting the job done,” said Account Manager Angela Whitaker. "Whenever I have a load that needs covered, Autry finds a way to do it within the limits he is given. Not only does he contribute to the AKS division, but he plays an instrumental role in the future of our drivers in his role as a trainer. Of the students I have talked to, they have all enjoyed having him as a trainer. His most recent student said on his survey, 'Very informative and patient and really wants the student to succeed.' I believe this statement says a lot to who Autry is and how seriously he takes his career with Maverick and the future of the company with the time and effort he puts into his students. He is also active in recruiting drivers as he is always running out of referral cards. In all the ways he contributes outside of delivering glass, he is exactly the type of driver who I would feel comfortable representing not only AKS, but the dedicated divisions as a whole, as Dedicated Driver of the Quarter."
