Maverick Transportation announced Lonnie Johnson of Elmore, AL as their 2024 Trainer of the Year and one of their 2024 Trainer Finalists. Johnson has been a road trainer for 8 years.

"I have known and worked with Lonnie many years," said Fleet Manager Morgan Forrest. "Lonnie has a great work ethic and is very dependable. He is easy to talk to and is also a good listener. I think these qualities make his students feel comfortable and promote a good learning environment."

2023

Maverick Transportation announced Lonnie Johnson of Elmore, AL, as one of their 2023 Trainer Finalists. Johnson has been a road trainer with Maverick for 7 years.

"Lonnie and I have known each other for many years," said his fleet manager, Morgan Forrest. "He is one of the most honest, hardworking, and loyal people I have worked with. Lonnie does a great job and we are fortunate to have him."

2022

Maverick Transportation announced Lonnie Johnson of Elmore, AL, as one of their 2022 Trainer Finalists. Johnson has been driving with Maverick since August 2005.

"I have known Lonnie since he started at Maverick in 2005," said Fleet Manager Morgan Forrest. "One of the things I appreciate about him the most is his honesty and straightforward approach, whether it's work-related or not. Lonnie always has his students' best interests at heart and does all he can to make them successful."
