Roy Meyer

Maverick Transportation announced Roy Meyer from PTX from Wichita Falls, TX as their April 2021 Dedicated Driver of the Month. Meyer has been driving with Maverick since 2012.

"Roy is the kind of positive person that takes initiative and is self-driven, all the while balancing everything and doing it the Maverick Way," said Account Manager Levi Roberts. "If something goes wrong with his trailer or load, he finds the appropriate people or solution and gets the problem solved on his own. I will probably never know the full extent of what he does to keep his truck moving and make loads on time due to the fact that he never does it for recognition. He always remains respectful, even when in stressful situations, and is one of my go-to’s when I need help working through a situation with a new driver that I have never dealt with before. If he drops a trailer or runs a load, I never even think about doing random inspections because I know the quality of driver that I have at hand. Roy is the epitome of what Maverick is about and would look great in a black hat."

Outstanding service gets recognized at Maverick.

The Dedicated Driver of the Month program is a high honor for specially-selected Maverick drivers. Every month, Maverick recognizes one driver from the company's fleet who demonstrates exceptional commitment to their profession, while maintaining Maverick's standards of holding safety in the highest regard. At the end of the year, the Dedicated Driver of the Month committee will choose the Dedicated Driver of the Year, which is announced the following January.
